Air filter replacement is the single most important — and most neglected — HVAC maintenance task. A clogged filter forces your system to work harder, reduces airflow, causes coil freezing, and dramatically shortens system life. In DFW, where systems run heavily from May through October, filters often need replacement every 1–2 months, not the 90 days printed on most filter packages.

NewRise carries MERV 8, MERV 11, MERV 13, and MERV 16 pleated filters in all standard sizes, as well as Aprilaire 5000 media cartridges. We recommend MERV 11–13 for most DFW homes — high enough to capture pollen, pet dander, and fine dust, but not so restrictive as to starve your system of airflow.
