Preventive maintenance is the foundation of a reliable HVAC system. NewRise Heating & Cooling's annual maintenance inspection is a comprehensive 21-point evaluation of your complete heating and cooling system — not a quick visual check-in. We inspect, test, measure, and document everything so you have a clear picture of your system's health.

The inspection covers: electrical components (capacitors, contactors, wiring connections), refrigerant charge and system pressures, evaporator and condenser coils, blower motor and belt, heat exchanger integrity, gas valve and ignition system, thermostat calibration, filter condition, condensate drainage, and overall system airflow. We also assess the ductwork accessible from the air handler.

After the inspection, you receive a written report with grades for each component, any items requiring attention, and an honest assessment of your system's remaining useful life. There's no pressure to buy anything — just clear information so you can plan proactively. Comfort Club members receive inspections included in their plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the 21-point maintenance inspection?
Electrical component testing, refrigerant check, coil inspection and cleaning, blower motor assessment, heat exchanger check, thermostat calibration, filter inspection, condensate drain test, airflow measurement, and a full written report.
How often should I have my HVAC inspected?
Once a year at minimum — spring for cooling systems and fall for heating systems. If your system is over 10 years old, bi-annual inspections are advisable.
Will the inspection find problems before they become expensive repairs?
That's the goal. Capacitors, for example, show signs of weakness months before they fail. A $25 capacitor caught during inspection prevents a $150–$300 emergency repair call — and prevents a breakdown on the hottest day of the year.
Is the maintenance inspection the same as a tune-up?
They're similar but not identical. An inspection focuses on assessment and documentation. A tune-up includes cleaning and adjustments as part of the service. Our Comfort Club plans include both inspection and tune-up in one visit.
